Tough wake-up call
7 AM. Feels like a surprisingly short amount of time since I fell asleep, yet the clock on my phone doesn't lie. Checking the last activity logged on it revealed that I'd been up far into the night, up until close to 3 in the morning. "Great. Superb time to wake up after such a short night", I told myself ironically, sighing in fatigue. "I guess I gotta get up and ready now." A few minutes later, I'm ready to go.
On the way to work, I realize I forgot to bring a fork to eat my midday lunch. Hoping the personnel at thecantina won't be a pain in the arse agaim about it, I make my way to my desk.
On the program, 3D design for a print I needed to get ready ASAP for a project. Checking my mailbox, nothing today. At least that's that. Then, to the locker, to get my security shoes, whatever point it is they serve in an electronics lab. I would guess not much, but it's mandatory, so what the hell. I guess today will be another one of those where you just ask yourself, what's the point?
Fast forward, 14th coffee mug. Far more than usually, but I guess that's the price for such a hard day to get through. Shortly after lunch, the first draft for the model is ready, on to assembling the various parts. They don't fit. 15th coffee mug. Correct the model, this time they're fine. A quick look at the clock indicates 16:40, it's time to go home. Train trip, get home, go to bed, crash asleep.
At least this time it took less than waiting until 3 AM, see y'all tomorrow.
